About Fox Tale Tuition …

Fox Tale Tuition is led by mother and daughters: Helen, Kirsty, and Katrina Fox. Story is at the heart of everything we do, and it is our enjoyment and passion of a good tale that is the root of our success in the classroom. Our experience in tuition, covers Key Stage 1 (years 1 to 3) to Key Stage 3 (years 7 to 9) Mathematics, English Language and English Literature. We also specialise in the Kent and Medway 11+ tests and other entrance exams.

About us …

With backgrounds in teaching, youth work and theatre, we have the experience to know the hard work that goes into learning and the knowhow of making that process fun and rewarding.

    Katrina Fox

With a rhyming name (Katrina Marita) it was prophesied that Kate would fall down a rabbit hole of poetry and children’s tales. A librarian at heart, Kate has many recommendations and is currently writing her first children’s book.

Favourite books: The Harry Potter series by J K Rowling and the CHERUB series by Robert Muchamore.

    Helen Fox

As well as loving time spent with a good book, Helen loves numbers. How the more time you spend with numbers the more satisfyingly mysterious they become. For example, if you multiply numbers that just contain ones, the answer will be a palindrome (reads the same forwards and backwards) number.

    111 x 111 = 12,321

Favourite books: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

    Kirsty Fox

A certified book worm, Kirsty is guaranteed to always have a book within arm’s reach. Telling tales, in many forms, is a love of Kirsty’s. Whether it be producing theatre, to writing her own or guiding her students to find pleasure in the written word, Kirsty’s love of stories is infectious.

Favourite books: (Almost impossible to narrow down!) Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman, and His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

“That’s the reason they’re called lessons... because they lessen from day to day.”
